McDavid’s girlfriend now forced to keep superstition alive for the rest of postseason!
We can’t blame Connor for asking!

Captain Connor McDavid recorded his first ever playoff hat trick while leading the Edmonton Oilers to a 6-3 win Monday night in NHL qualifying play.
And now it seems like his girlfriend Lauren Kyle won’t have a choice but to keep a new superstition alive for the rest of the series, who knows, maybe the entire postseason!
On Monday night, McDavid scored 19 seconds into the game, then found the back on the net on a solo rush just past the four-minute mark, and added one more on the power play late in the second period at Rogers Place.
While watching her man in action, Lauren was wearing a custom made pair of shoes with McDavid’s face on it, proudly sporting them throughout the entire game.
We bet McDavid will beg her to keep them for the rest of the postseason, to give him more chances to record many more hat trick throughout the series.
The Oilers managed to tie up the series 1-1 against the Blackhawks. We however cannot say when Lauren start to wear her shoes during the game…
We love hockey players’ superstitions though and we kinda hope this becomes one for McDavid!
