Yesterday a photo emerged online that took the National Hockey League by storm.

That's because the photograph featured Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid in one of the most awkward looking positions we've ever seen him in, prompting amusement from fans all across the league.

It seems like McDavid himself got a kick out of the whole thing because when he spoke to reporters about the situation he couldn't help but crack a smile despite describing the situations as a "death grip."
