You expected that at some point Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid would take over Game 6 of the Western Conference Final, but you likely didn't expect the moment to come so quickly.

McDavid immediately brought the crowd in Edmonton to their feet with the opening goal of the game, one in which he showcased why he is considered by many to be the very best player in the entire National Hockey League.

McDavid used his speed, skating and stickhandling to blow past the Stars defenders in his way before batting at the puck in front of Stars goaltender Jake Ottinger to open the scoring in Game 6 on the Oilers very first shot of the game.

McDavid made no effort to hide his emotions after scoring the goal either, showing his elation openly in celebration of his incredible goal.
