In case you’re not watching the quarterfinal matchup between Canada and Finland at the World Junior Championships right now, do yourself a favor and fire it up RIGHT NOW.
After two periods the Canadians are up 1-0 on the Finns thanks to a goal from Ian Mitchell. The big thanks though has to go to Vancouver Canucks prospect Michael DiPietro who has been an absolute wall for Canada in this game.
I mean… just look at him stare down Finnish sniper Eeli Tolvanen on this breakaway:
Following this save the Vancouver crowd loudly chanted DiPietro’s name for a full minute or longer. A quick thinking camera man managed to get this absolutely priceless reaction from DiPietro’s parents.
