The fans who came out to support a good cause were treated to one hell of a show courtesy of Philadelphia Flyers star forward Matvei Michkov this weekend.

Over the weekend the annual 'Match of the Year' took place, a charity event organized by National Hockey League stars Artemi Panarin and Mikhail Sergachev, and as is always the case it featured some of the biggest names in the game today.

One of the teams was of course led by Mikhail Sergachev and that team featured the likes of Alex Ovechkin, Ilya Sorokin, Alexander Romanov, and Pavel Buchnevich, while the other team was captained by Panarin, and featured stars like Matvei Michkov, Kirill Kaprizov, Valeri Nichushkin, and Igor Shesterkin.

In spite of the all the talent on display it was arguably Michkov who had the biggest night of all during the event, recording a ridiculous Michigan-style goal on his way to securing a hat trick during the game on top of it.

You can see the highlights of his hat trick just below:

Of course this was all for a good cause which does lead to some pretty high scoring games, and this one was no exception. Despite Michkov's hat trick it would be Team Sergachev who would eventually win this one by a score of 10-9.
