Mike Babcock may have just hinted at his candidate for NHL MVP.

The Toronto Maple Leafs head coach has made a very interesting statement, one that may shed light on who he feels has been the National Hockey League's most valuable player.

Speaking to Sportsnet insider Chris Johnston about Toronto's critical game against the Boston Bruins this evening, Babcock took the time to compliment one of his former Team Canada players, Bruins' forward Brad Marchand.

According to Johnston Babcock described him as one of the National Hockey League's three best players, a massive compliment on it's own, but he wasn't done there.

"No one's driving his team harder," said Babcock.

We may be reading too much into this, but it certainly sounds like Babcock may believe that no player has been more important to his team than Marchand.
