Mike Richards is officially coming back to the National Hockey League.

It appears that at least one National Hockey League team was willing to take a gamble on veteran forward Mike Richards.

Despite the fact that there were some concerns surrounding a potentially legal issue at the border between the United States and Canada, it appears the Washington Capitals have reached terms on a one year deal with Richards.

According to TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger, it's unlikely that a conclusion in whatever legal process Richards is currently going through is reached before this summer, making it unlikely that it will cause any problems for Washington.

The deal is pending NHL approval, but it appears Mike Richards is indeed a member of the Washinton Capitals.
