Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic received more bad news on Friday, news that likely means we won't be seeing him in a Bruins uniform again anytime soon.

Lucic was back in court on Friday following an alleged domestic violence incident that took place between Lucic and his wife, an incident that led to charges of assault and battery being leveled against Lucic. During his brief appearance, an appearance that Lucic made via a zoom call, the Bruins forward was informed that he would face a jury of his peers at trial next month with a trial date set for February 16th, 2024.

Lucic was arrested back in November after his wife claimed during a 911 call that Lucic had attempted to choke her. When an officer arrived on scene he noticed redness on the alleged victim's chest and asked her if Lucic had attempted to strangle her during the argument, which she denied.

Shortly after news of the incident went public, Lucic's mugshot was widely distributed on social media:

This means that we will have to wait roughly another month before a resolution is reached in this story but in spite of that the Bruins are still on the hook for Lucic's 1 year deal which carries an average annual value and cap hit of $1 million for this season.
