We knew things were gonna get heated in the Battle of Alberta and thus far this series has not disappointed, but on Sunday night tempers flared as the Edmonton Oilers dominated the Calgary Flames in front of a packed house of Oilers fans at Rogers Place.
Calgary Flames forward Milan Lucic might be hearing from the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety after he absolutely bulldozed Edmonton Oilers goaltender Mike Smith roughly midway through the game's third period. The one saving grace here for Lucic will be the fact that he was already awarded a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for the infraction, but I would not be surprised if the NHL takes a look at this one given the context of the game and the force with which Lucic charged into Smith.
