The Wild have confirmed when Quinn Hughes will suit up for his first game.
Fans of the Minnesota Wild who have been eagerly anticipating the debut of star defenseman Quinn Hughes will not have to wait long.
Earlier today it was officially confirmed that Hughes would make his debut for the Wild on Sunday, when he and his new team face off against the Boston Bruins. Hughes was of course acquired earlier this week by the Wild in a blockbuster trade deal that sent former Wild players Marco Rossi, Zeev Buium, Liam Oghren and a first round pick back the other way to Vancouver. The trade has generated a ton of interest around all of the players involved, although of course Hughes is at the top of that list as the best player moved in this deal.
As mentioned fans won't have to wait long and we already have our first images of Hughes arriving in Minnesota, with the Wild sharing footage of his plane landing after he was picked up by general manager Bill Guerin in New Jersey.
Hughes is already in the building for tonight's game as well, with cameras from the National Hockey League catching Hughes as he arrived to the building ahead of his debut tonight.
Stay tuned for more coverage of Hughes' debut with the Wild this evening.
