Misunderstanding about Dubnyk's exit had people scratching their heads.

The Wild suffered a tough loss against the Hawks this afternoon in what could have been a very different outcome. After barely four minutes, the Hawks took a 2-0 lead that sent Devan Dubnyk to the showers. He was be replaced by Darcy Kuemperm, who allowed 2 goals for the rest of the game. Minnesota lost even though they outshot Chicago 44-22. 

However, a weird sequence happened at the moment Dubnyk left to ice. When he walked beside coach Boudreau, he appeared to whisper something to him. The way both guys acted was pretty peculiar and it left questions about Dubnyk's or Boudreau's level of frustration about each others. 

Later on, we learned that it was actually Mikko Koivu who hit Dubnyk with his stick from the other side of the bench. Koivu wanted to show support, but the way things went, it truly looked bizarre. You can watch the sequence from Koivu's perspective here: 


You can see how Boudreau and Dubnyk looked like they were arguing, but all is well in the kingdom of the Wild.
