There have been no shortage of examples of embellishment lately in the National Hockey League, with Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stützle seemingly having taken the crown of the League's best diving forward of late.
You can go ahead and add Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner to that list based on his actions tonight against the Boston Bruins at Scotiabank Arena.
Marner was seen attempting to draw a call from the officials when he feigned injury when the stick of Boston's Brandon Carlo came up near his face, but didn't appear to actually draw contact. Marner immediately fell to his knees as if he'd been clipped:
And needless to say, the fans weren't exactly appreciative of his antics.
