Moment of nostalgia in Detroit tonight.

A tear or two might have been shed.

As you may know, this year is the last of the illustrious career of the Joe Louis Arena. The Wings are set to move to the Little Caesars Arena next year and everyone is nostalgic about the historic moments that will be left behind.

One of the most well known tradition in the Joe is obviously the octopuses being thrown on the ice. A good omen for so many years, these gelatinous creatures are linked to a lot of Stanley Cups. Tonight, one nostalgic fan decided to give it one last shot.

It was made in good fun, but with the Wings missing the Playoffs for the first time in 26 years, many felt the sting in the stands. The very last game in the Joe will be played Sunday April 9th.
