Monster hits from Ryan Reaves, Simon Benoit rattle the Bruins
Punishing them physically!
While there have been no goals so far in the 1st period of tonight's Game 3 matchup between the Original 6 rival Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins at Scotiabank Arena, there has been no shortage of animosity and on-ice confrontations between both sides.
And it's clear that the Leafs are on a mission to physically punish the Bruins, as evidenced by a pair of thunderous hits late in the opening 20 minutes.
First, it was Simon Benoit who got the best of Bruins sniper David Pastrnak with a thunderous check:
And then, Reaves absolutely laid out Pavel Zacha with a bone-rattling hit of his own:
Understandably, both hits sent the sellout crowd into a frenzy, along with the hundreds of fans watching outside of the venue on the big screen in Maple Leaf Square.
