More bad news for Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins.

The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman left last night's preseason game, and it sounds like he won't be back soon.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have received some bad news on Saturday.

On Friday night, Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins left the game after he was on the receiving end of a relatively harmless looking hit from the Montreal Canadiens' Tanner Pearson. The hit didn't look like much, but it was enough to knock Timmins out of the game and it sounds like he may be out for considerably longer than that.

On Saturday, Keefe confirmed that Timmins was currently undergoing an MRI for what he would only describe as a "lower body Injury" but it was clear that Keefe was unhappy with the prognosis for his defenseman.

Not just the camp he has had, he has worked incredibly hard ... to have a setback is tough news for him and for us," admitted Keefe on Saturday.

It is no secret why Keefe appears to be unhappy either as it sounds like we can expect Timmins to be out long term, despite not knowing any specifics regarding his injury at this time.
