Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider is continuing his hockey season by suiting up for his native Germany in the IIHF World Championship, and as we've seen back here in North America multiple times during the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, he's earned himself a game misconduct.

During Thursday's quarterfinals matchup between Germany and Switzerland, Seider would hit Swiss forward Gaetan Haas from behind, driving his head into the glass. Seider would be tossed from the game:

Despite his absence, Team Germany was still able to secure a 3-1 win.

During his sophomore NHL season, Seider once again found himself in the Red Wings record books, racking up another multi-assist game to mark the first time in team history that a defenseman racked up a three point game at age 21 or younger. Additionally, he would tie the late Steve Chiasson with his 13th multi-point game at age 21 or younger, trailing only the legendary Nicklas Lidstrom in that particular category.
