Old fashioned hockey!

It's one of the fiercest rivalries in the National Hockey League, and tonight was the latest chapter!
The New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers had themselves a good, old fashioned line brawl to start tonight's game at Madison Square Garden, as all 10 players (aside from the goaltenders) on the ice squared off with one another immediately after the opening face-off. Even the head coaches were getting into it, as Rangers bench boss Peter Laviolette was screaming at interim Devils coach Travis Greene.
The melee resulted in eight ejections, just two seconds into regulation! Among the players that hit the showers for an early night were Curtis Lazar, Kurtis MacDermid, Kevin Bahl, John Marino and Chris Tierny from the Devils, and Jimmy Vesey, Matt Rempe, Barclay Goodrow, Jacob Trouba and K'Andre Miller from the Rangers.
Just minutes later, we would get the 6th fight of the very young first period between Dawson Mercer and Will Cuylle:
Just take a look at the resulting penalty summary after the dust finally settled:
Old time hockey, baby!
