It is always embarrassing when you score into your own goal, especially if you put the puck in the net.

Evgeni Malkin scored a hat-trick today and can thank Vancouver Canucks' forward Linden Vey for his second goal.

Malkin went around run Miller's net with the puck, out waiting the American goaltender, and tried to send the puck in front of the net. Vey was back checking hard, but could stop the puck from entering the net after Malkin's pass had hit his stick blade.

It game the Penguins a 3-2 lead and they went on to win the game after trailing 2-0 for the second straight game.
