Must see: 1st rounder ejected for DIRTY hit to the head!

Colorado Avalanche rookie Dominic Toninato was suiting up for his first-ever NHL game Saturday night, but it did not go as he had hoped.

The young player was promptly taken out of the game after just 4:01 of ice time after he was hit by Nashville Predators forward Austin Watson. 

After the hit, Toninato was seen grabbing his head in pain. He did exit the game mostly under his own power, but wasn't expected to return.

Watson, the Preds' first round pick back in 2010, was assessed a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct on the play.
