When the Edmonton Oilers drafted Taylor Hall with the first overall pick back in 2010, they surely didn't expect to get three more first pick, but they probably are glad they have right now. Landing the best prospect since Sidney Crosby in Connor McDavid, the Oilers seem finally poised to get out of the league's basement.
Even though if, as a team, the Oilers haven't found success since Hall's arrival in 2010, #4 as probably been the best of the three other players they drafted at number one ahead of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and the disappointment that has been Nail Yakupov. Now, paired with Connor McDavid, Oilers fans are already dreaming of the good old days of the 80's.
Pairing up at the the Biosteel Cup, McDavid and Hall are already finding a good chemistry. Glimpse of the future? Judge for yourself.
Poor Malcolm Subban may have ben the first of many victims of this dynamic duo.
