Aleksander Barkov is known for his crafty shootout moves, but he might have a new trick up his sleeve. The young Finnish forward took part in a challenge by stickhandling specialist Pavel Barber.
Participants upload a video of themselves trying to fake a slapshot and then use the hashtag #PavelBarberChallenge on social media. While this trick might be hard to pull off in an NHL game, goaltenders certainly don't want to see this trend gaining any traction.
Barkov's entry is quite impressive.
Barkov ranked 25th in the league in points per game last season and many see a Selke Trophy in his future. After putting up consecutive 50-plus points seasons for the Panthers, fans must be salivating over what the youngster will do next.
