Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews hit a big career milestone on Monday night and he did it while his team was taking a beating from the Los Angeles Kings.
With the Kings up 5-0 in the game's second period Matthews was awarded a penalty shot against Los Angeles Kings star goaltender Jonathan Quick, although the Los Angeles Kings and their fans were not at all happy with the call on the ice.
Nonetheless penalty calls can not be reviewed resulting in Matthews taking the penalty shot, a shot that completely fooled Quick, that will go down as the 50th goal of his young National Hockey League career.
