Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau was NOT happy with his team’s performance last night at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins. The Wild fall to a sputtering 5-6-2 on the season following the 5-3 loss and according to Boudreau it’s all due to a lack of effort.

“What’s going on is, people aren’t doing their jobs,’’ Boudreau said, per the Minneaplos Star-Tribune. “I don’t know how else to say it. Nino’s not a defenceman, but he should be able to stay in front of somebody.

Boudreau’s criticism of forward Nino Niederreiter didn’t end there, though.

“And then, when you’re coming back, you’ve got to at least – you can’t skate not only by the puck, but there’s a guy right there. That’s your guy. You’ve got to take him. It’s hockey 101. It didn’t happen.’’

In his defense, Nino did tally a goal on the evening, but Boudreau’s point still stands. The forward’s full effort was not there and as a result his team ends up with another loss.

Lucky for Nino and the Wild get a shot at redemption tomorrow evening against the Toronto Maple Leafs
