The Växjö Lakers of the SHL held their skills competition today and it was a Vancouver Canucks prospect who turned heads.
Elias Pettersson was selected fifth overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and showcased his crafty skills at Vancouver's Development Camp earlier in the summer. He was back at it today, pulling off a filthy between-the-legs goal during the shootout portion of the Växjö Lakers skills competition.
Pettersson, 18, spent last season with Timra in Sweden's second division, collecting 41 points in 43 games and representing Sweden at the 2017 World Junior Championship.
With moves like this, Vancouver fans must be dying for the day he dons a Canucks uniform.
