The Vegas Golden Knights played their first ever home opener Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes, and it was truly a perfect night in a very dark and trying time in the city's history.

Winning the game 5-2 was a huge bonus on a night that saw the city celebrate the heroics of first responders from the night of the deadly massacre - as well as pay silent tribute to those who were lost.

Each player was introduced on the ice along with a first responder, a touching video tribute was played, and 58 seconds of silence ensued - each second representing one of the 58 lives lost on that fateful evening.

Here are the clips.
