Must See: Honors wife Nicholle with his incredible new mask

It’s a new year and a new look for Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson. Coming off an emotional 2016/17 campaign, the Bill Masterton trophy winner has a fresh new paint job on his mask for this upcoming season. The mask is designed by artist Sylvie Marsolais, who Anderson has worked with in the past.

It was Marsolais’ work that created this masterpiece but with every great design comes inspiration, and Anderson sure had a lot to work with. Andersons love for Corvettes is shown right front and center with the Corvette racing logo stretched across the top – a simple, yet slick look. The back of the mask shows a tribute to his family with a quote “Live for the Now” painted above a big ‘N’ in honor of his wife Nicholle who battled and beat cancer this past year. He also has the names of his kids Jake and Levi shown on either side of the ‘N’ in unique racing italics. On the sides of the mask there are symmetrical 3D Senturion logos over top of a car engine. This is an interesting touch as there is uncertainty as to how long that logo will stick around, as it appears the Sens fan base are continuously pushing for the “O” logo.

Anderson is ready for a fresh start this year after a solid campaign last season and as the old saying goes “look good, feel good, play good”. He has certainly taken the first step with this sleek mask in the ‘look good’ department and can only hope the rest will follow. Check out the design below and let us know what you think:
