San Jose Sharks forward Melker Karlsson got away with only a minor penalty after he tripped Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby with what looked like a slew foot in the first period of the Sharks-Penguins matchup on Tuesday night. Crosby went back at him immediately, and they both ended up with minor penalties.
The Penguins lead by a score of 1-0 after the first period. Bryan Rust scored his fifth of the season, helped by Riley Sheahan and Ian Cole.
