There have been short players in the National Hockey League: Brian Gianta, David Desharnais and Martin St. Louis, but the shortest has to be Nathan Gerbe. Standing at 5 foot 4, Gerbe is known to be the shortest, and now plays for Servette HC in the Swiss-A League.
