MUST SEE: Wild G Marc-Andre Fleury stops early Blues penalty shot!
Flower Power!
With 90 career Stanley Cup playoff victories under his belt, the Minnesota Wild decided to give veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury the start in Game 1 of their postseason series against the St. Louis Blues. And so far, that's proving to be the correct decision.
Fleury robbed St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev on an early penalty shot, awarded to the Blues just four minutes into the contest at a rocking XCel Energy Center:
Fleury, who is making a postseason start for the 16th straight year, was acquired by the Wild last month after he spent the first part of the season with the Chicago Blackhawks. Of course, Fleury was a foe of the Wild last year while playing with the Vegas Golden Knights.
