Step aside Connor McDavid, there's a new man atop the NHL's salary cap totem pole and it's Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon.
The Avs and MacKinnon have just announced that they've agreed to an eight year contract worth a whopping $12.6 million per season.
Financial details have not yet been released by the team, but multiple trusted sources are reporting the value at $12.6 million annually.
