After the major announcement today signifying the end of NHL legend Martin Brodeur's career, we have another retirement to announce. According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, Radek Dvorak has officially announced his retirement after 18 season in the National Hockey League. This comes as less of a surprise then Brodeur, Dvorak had not played a single game this season, and at 37 years of age it was hard to imagine him choosing to make a comeback. A three time gold medalist with the Czech Republic, Dvorak will most likely be remembered by fans in North America as a member of the Czechmate line during his 2000-2001 season with the Rangers. Dvorak ends his career with 227 goals and 363 assists for a total of 590 points over the course of his 1260 game NHL career.
