The first NHL goalie scrap in 6 years! What a night!
GOALIE FIGHT ALERT! GOALIE FIGHT ALERT! GOALIE FIGHT ALERT!
When tempers flated between the Florida Panthers and the San Jose Sharks tonight, things have escalated to the point where even the netminders chucked knuckles!
Sharks goalie Alex Nedeljkovic got himself into the fray, interjecting into a scrum behind his net, prompting Panthers legend Sergei Bobrovsky to storm down the ice and chuck off the trapper and waffle board!
Feast your eyes, hockey fans:
There's nothing quite like an old fashioned goalie fight!
After the game, a 4-1 victory for the Sharks, Nedeljkovic gave a great interview where he expressed he was only trying to make teammate Ryan Reaves proud.

It has taken less than a period for Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk to get back to his old tricks.
In the 1st period of tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks, Tkachuk got into a bit of a jousting match with Sharks defenseman Vincent Desharnais when he absolutely stuck Desharnais in the gut with a spear. Tkachuk, as he is wont to do, then tries to get away from Desharnais, but he gets chased down and then turtles until the linesman intervenes.

That's vintage Matthew Tkachuk right there. You either love this guy or you hate 'em.
From the tone of my article, guess how I feel about him lol
UPDATE: It's official, Matthew Tkachuk is in the building and he will make his 2025-26 season debut this evening against the San Jose Sharks.
The Florida Panthers are on the verge of getting a huge boost to their lineup.
On Monday morning, Panthers star forward Matthew Tkachuk spoke with members of the media and officially announced his plans to return to the ice. Tkachuk has of course been out of the lineup all season long as he recovers from injuries suffered initially at the Four Nations Face-Off tournament last year, and his return has been a highly anticipated one all season long as a result.
Fans won't have to wait long to see his return either, with Tkachuk revealing that he plans to play tonight when the Panthers will face the San Jose Sharks.
It seems hard to believe but this will be Tkachuk's first National Hockey League game since June 17th of 2025, Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in which Tkachuk and the Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers for the second year in a row.
It will be very interesting to see what kind of form Tkachuk will be in after such major injuries, the surgeries required to repair them, as well as his extended layoff from playing the sport that he has played his entire life.
Tkachuk was having a great season during the 2024-25 regular season prior to his injuries, scoring 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points in just 52 games with the Panthers.
I expect that he will need a few games at the very least to shake off the rust, but only time will tell what version of Matthew Tkachuk we are going to see on the ice tonight.Block Field
