Neely on Cassidy: “Changes coming with how we coach.”
But... Cassidy's gotta be back, right? Right!?
HockeyFeed
With the Boston Bruins' season officially over thanks to a first round loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, the offseason begins and with it comes a lot of big decisions for team President Cam Neely and GM Don Sweeney.
When asked earlier today about his team's coaching staff, Neely gave head coach Bruce Cassidy an endorsement but he did say that changes would be coming with regards to the team's coaching. Cassidy is under contract for next season, but has no commitment beyond 2023. It remains to be seen what happens with assistant coaches Joe Sacco, Chris Kelly and Kevin Dean. Ditto for goalie coach Bob Essensa.
From Neely:
It'll be interesting to see if any personnel changes are made or if Neely is just hinting at an update to the systems that this coaching staff employs under Cassidy. Stay tuned, Bruins fans.
