Yesterday night, a very worrisome event happened in Philadelphia. After Steve Mason pulled out of the roster due to an undisclosed illness, Michal Neuvirth took the lead. However, early in the game he collapsed for no apparent reason at the time. The chilling sequence can be seen here.
Earlier today, we learned that Neuvirth has been released from the hospital and is recovering at his home. All test came back normal and there's nothing major that could have triggered the collapse. The medical staff will still monitor him however, just to be sure.
Rumors were that Michal decided to play even if he was feeling under the weather himself. With Mason already injured, he showed a true sense of team spirit but in this case, it turned very bad.
We will keep you updated on this issue for sure, but it seems okay for now!
