After the deal fell through, this comes up:

Earlier this summer, there were rumours of a trade between the Philadelphia Flyers and the St. Louis Blues in which defenseman Torey Krug was involved. The transaction however felt apart when the veteran blue liner reportedly threw a wrench into the mix, refusing to waive his no-trade clause to be moved to Philadelphia.
For now, Krug remains in St. Louis, however, The Athletic’s Jeremy Rutherford feels confident enough to predicy a Krug trade this season in his 10 bold predictions for the Blues in 2023-24.
While acknowledging the difficulties of moving Krug’s contract at an average annual value of $6.5 million until 2026-27 with the aforementioned no-trade clause, Rutherford believes Krug could still be used as a trade chip if he has a healthy season and a contending team makes a pitch for the blue liner closer to the deadline on March, 1st.
“Of course, this would require another club having interest in Krug and him approving the trade. It didn’t work with Philadelphia because he wants to be with a competitive team in a city where he can keep his family long term. But if he remains healthy and can return to being the power-play QB that made him attractive to the Blues, I could see a deal happening before season’s end.”

You might the Blues having to retain a portion of Krug’s cap hit to make a trade happen, however, it will be something on our radar as the campaign gets underway.
If you had to bet, where do you believe Krug ends up playing this season?
