New update on Marc Methot's finger following the Crosby slash are terrible...

That photo should never be seen again.

It didn’t take long for both fans and the broadcast team to notice that something was seriously wrong with Methot, immediately after he removed his glove the gruesome result of Crosby’s slash was revealed. It looked like the tip of Methot’s finger had nearly been completely severed off, and the detached piece was left hanging to the side.

“Oh yeah. It was rotten,” MacArthur said. “That photo should never be seen again. It was so bad. That’s just a tough spot. There’s no way that feels good today for him.”

“In the playoffs, I don’t want to go out of my way to put our team in jeopardy, you know what I mean?” Methot said. “It’s not a personal vendetta, or whatever you want to call it. I put that aside.”

Unfortunately, as reported by ESPN, for the most part, the pain is gone. There’s a little restriction because of the special glove Methot has to wear.

“There’s not much feeling there,” Methot said. “It’s come a long way.”
