Their valuable blue liner is about to cash in, big time.

New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock is entering the final year of the two year, $10 million deal he signed in 2020. They want to make sure he's not going anywhere, and it appears as though they've done just that.

According to multiple reports, the Islanders and Pulock have agreed to a monster contract extension that is a reported eight year pact worth just under $50 million:

The contract will have an AAV of $6.25 million.

Selected by New York in the first round (No. 15) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Pulock has scored 33 goals with 92 assists over 290 career games, all with the Islanders. He's also tallied seven goals and 13 assists in 55 career postseason games.
