He wants big money!
Dustin Byfuglien is set to become a free agent at the end of the season. The Winnipeg Jets have stated earlier this season that they would like to reach a deal and keep Big Buff in Winnipeg. They went as far as saying that he would surely not be traded during the season.
Unfortunately for Jets' fans, Byfuglien's demands appear to be "ridiculous".
According to Bob McKenzie, Dustin Byfuglien is looking for a 7 years $50M contract, with an average hit of around $7M per season.
It is a lot of money, but for a player versatile like he is, surely there is a general manager around the league that will sign Big Buff to those terms.
Byfuglien is making $5.3M this season. So far, in 16 games, he scored 4 goals and added 5 assists, for 9 points.
