NHL agent reveals why Galchenyuk is struggling!
Keystone Press

The Montreal Canadiens are having a rough start to the 2017-18 season, and a lot of fingers are being pointed at young star player Alex Galchenyuk

In nine games so far, the 23-year-old has recorded two goals, while spending most of the time hearing his name mentioned amongst several trade rumors. The Habs are still trying to use him at centre, while Galchneyuk cannot prove himself at the position, or on the wing for that matter.

According to NHL player agent Dan Milstein, the reason behind Galchenyuk's struggles is quite clear. It all falls on the shoulders of head coach Claude Julien, who is one again being accused of not wanting to work with Russian players. Milstein tweeted about this earlier today, but has since removed the publication. Here is a picture of his comments:

The Canadiens have traded away defenseman Alexei Emelin, and did not re-sign veteran Andrei Markov, who returned home to Russia. Forward Alexander Radulov did not return to the Habs, signing with the Dallas Stars in the offseason.

Now Galchenyuk is the only player pf Russian decent on the club, and Milstein believes the Julien is not capable of successfully coaching him.

Can their relationship be mended for the good of the team?
