Just announced from the League.

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand's reputation as a notorious pest in the National Hockey League is well documented, as he's been both suspended and fined by the League multiple times for a variety of on-ice infractions. He's also active on social media, and routinely gets under the skin of those who are brave enough to follow him on Twitter.

He's once again found himself in hot water by the NHL, and is a bit lighter in the wallet. During last night's thriller against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena, Marchand became tangled up with Seattle's Oliver Bjorkstrand, and eventually wrestled him to the ice which immediately drew a scrum; both players were assessed minor penalties.

Marchand has since been fined a total of $5,000 for his actions, the maximum allowed under the current NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

This marks the 6th time in Marchand's career that he's drawn a fine from the NHL.
