First and foremost we have not confirmed this information through any other sources, we are currently treating this as a rumour until we receive corroborating reports. A broadcaster for the Montreal Canadiens, Pierre Houde, made headlines when during a radio interview with Montreal based CHOM 97.7FM. Houde made the claimed that he has knowledge of the next two NHL expansion franchises as well as when those franchises will be announced. The first expansion franchise would be Las Vegas, no shock to anyone, and Houde believes the announcement will come before the Stanley Cup final, and perhaps even prior to the playoffs all together. The second and certainly the most surprising is Quebec City. It's long been the belief amongst hockey fans that Gary Bettman is opposed to more teams north of the border but Houde claims the announcement will follow one year after Las Vegas. However according to Houle the team in Quebec will not be an expansion, but rather a relocation. He made the claim after the host made comments regarding the attendance in Florida, it's unclear if he was referencing Florida as the team that would move. At the very least the logistics and the timeline would make sense, Las Vegas would more than likely be a Western Conference team, Quebec would be a perfect fit for the Eastern Conference. The one year gap between the announcements also makes sense, Las Vegas needs time to set up their facilities while Quebec already has a major head start having already begun construction on a state of the art arena. Houde has been the French language voice of the Montreal Canadiens on RDS since 1989, and while as mentioned earlier we have heard no corroborating reports, it's hard to imagine he would put his reputation on the line in such a fashion without a firm belief that his statements were accurate.
