According to a report from Carolina Hurricanes reporter Sarah Civian of The Athletic, ‘Canes captain Justin Williams is “still debating” retirement.

If this is indeed the end of Williams’ career, he’ll go down in history as of of the NHL’s all-time clutch performers. The 37 year old Williams has earned himself the nickname “Mr. Game 7” due to his perchance for stepping up with big moments in big games.

The gritty, two way forward has 312 goals and 786 points in 1244 career NHL games split between the Hurricanes, Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers. He’s a three time Stanley Cup champion and a Conn Smythe Trophy winner.
