While Vancouver Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins didn't say anything wrong, you knew as soon as these comments were made he was going to be a lightning rod for criticism.

Seeking to draw inspiration from the absolutely incredible comeback win from the New England Patriots Desjardins told the media that his team needed to play like the Patriots in order to win, and even stated he had discussed that within the team.

"They stuck around and found a way," began Desjardins. "We can learn from that, we talked about it today."

Desjardins did himself and his team no favors by drawing comparisons to what has to be one of the most successful dynasties in pro sports, something the Vancouver Canucks have yet to come anywhere near matching.
