In case you missed it yesterday, Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser was injured in the dying seconds of his team's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after receiving an elbow to the head from Penguins forward Bryan Rust.

Boeser was digging for a loose puck in front of goaltender Stuart Skinner with just two seconds left on the clock when Rust delivered an elbow directly to Boeser's chin.

Today, the Canucks announced that Boeser has been moved to the injured reserve and NHL Player Safety has announced that Rust will have a hearing date and a possible suspension tomorrow.

Given the clear attempt to injure on the play and the fact that Rust did in fact inflict injury on Boeser, I would suspect that Rust is looking at some sort of suspension.

Stay tuned.
