Nick Tarnasky remains viral, because, as the NHL offseason unfolds, players and celebrities are having a good time playing golf. And, when you bring up golf, almost immediately the story involving Tarnasky takes center stage.

Earlier this month, Tarnasky went viral last week for his brutal fight on a golf course in Red Deer, Alberta. He and his group of friends asked to play ahead of the drunken idiots and were rebuffed. That’s when things escalated and ended up in the wildest fight of the summer, throwing the idiot into the lake, but also dumming him with literal “BANGS” to the face and pigeon tossed him like he’s a pebble.

It unfolded from there. The golfer also issued a statement a few days after the brawl, taking full ownership of his actions and laying none of the blame on Tarnasky himself, while the former NHLer was a guest on the Spittin Chiclets podcast, providing the full story on the fight, sending a message to the golfer in question and explaining that he had heard back from former teams looking to see if he’d be interested in lacing up the skates again.

Tarnasky’s name has kept trending on social media, after he was tagged when a video of a crazed passager on an American Airlines plane went viral for an epic meltdown. He was also mentioned when pro golfers Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood took just under six hours to complete their opening round at the Open Championship. Fans demanded Tarnasky be hired by the PGA.

Now this week, Tarnasky is back after a viral post by none other than actor Zac Efron, who published pictures and videos of himself on a golf course. When Barstool shared the story, they immediately hinted at Tarnasky, writing:

“You can go to almost any golf course in America today and witness a bevy of issues that are destroying this beautiful game.

Slow play. People blasting the worst music you’ve ever heard on their bluetooth speakers. Jackasses who don’t fix their divots. Moronic dipshits getting tossed into the pond by former NHL enforcers. Things of that nature.”

That led them to share the Instagram post of Efron and his brother showing up to play a full round with their shirt off. Sure these dudes are shredded, but some fans are asking the very good question if Tarnasky should not be brought in for some discipline on golf courses across America.

I have to say I don’t dislike the idea.

Tarnasky has the ideal resume. He hockey career started after he was drafted in the ninth round back in the 2003 NHL Draft. He had 297 career penalty minutes in 245 career NHL games split between the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators and Florida Panthers. According to his hockeyfights.com page he’s gone toe to toe with the likes of Milan Lucic, Mike Commodore and Chris McGratton… oh and he’s 6’2, 230 lbs.

Great size for top security guard on a high-end golf course.
