NHL forward accused of stealing thousands from former girlfriend and ripping off teammates.

A National Hockey League forward is facing serious accusations and potential criminal charges after his former girlfriend has come forward and spoken about her relationship with the young player.

Ottawa Senators forward Arthur Kaliyev has had serious accusations levied against him by model and former girlfriend Lauren Mochen, accusations that include using her to cash fraudulent checks as well as an accusation of stealing $14,114.88 from her PayPal account.

While Mochen's claim's have not been tested in court she informed Mollie Walker of the New York Post this week that she does intend to press charges and furthermore claims that she isn't the only one that has been negatively impacted by Kaliyev's behavior.

According to the latest details emerging from this story, Lochen also provided a text message from Kontinental Hockey League forward Igor Larionov that shows Larionov making a claim that he was informed by Drew Doughty, Kaliyev's former teammate, that Kaliyev owes several members of the Kings "around $50,000" as well.

In fact it sounds like Kaliyev's alleged financial impropriety may have even contributed to some serious issues during his time with the Kings' organization, with former Kings general manager Rob Blake even going so far as to bar Kaliyev from practice because he had refused to tip the team's training staff as is customary at the end of a season. Mochen also provided text messages that appear to confirm these allegations.

Kaliyev is currently under contract with the Ottawa Senators on a 1 year deal with an average annual value and cap hit of $775,000 but only appeared in 2 games for the Senators thus far this season. He is instead currently playing with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League, although I do wonder how this latest bombshell report may impact his status moving forward.
