NHL GMs set record on deadline day

It was a busy day on Monday: NHL insiders simply cannot complain. Most general managers waited until the last day ahead of the deadline to pull trades, which made Monday one of the busiest trade deadlines in the past seasons.

The GMs actually set a record on deadline day, according to Philadelphia Flyers insider Sam Carchidi, who revealed that there were 32 trades made today, believed to be the most ever on deadline day. It’s definitely the most since at least 1979-80.

We can’t say if all 32 trades were smart ones, but we have to admit that’s a lot of action in one day for the general managers, players and insiders of the game.

Let’s see if they can do better next season!
