This just in, the NHL has fined San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky $25,000 for 'inappropriate conduct' during Saturday's game against Utah HC.
Warsofsky absolutely LOST IT on the referees on Saturday evening after star rookie Macklin Celebrini was hit from behind into the end boards with no calls from the officials.
Here's the hit in question:
This was followed by an elbow to the head of Sharks forward Mikael Granlund late in the game.
This play also went uncalled.
After the game Warsofsky was quite critical of the officials during the game, as evidenced by his now $25,000 fine. He declined to speak on the officiating after the game though in an attempt to avoid a fine... funny how that works.
