With the National Hockey League Trade Deadline only weeks away, the Toronto Maple Leafs and 1st year general manager Brad Treliving are reportedly going to be looking to make a deal to supplement their existing roster in an effort to build off last year's postseason win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, their 1st playoff victory in 19 years.

And according to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman on his latest "32 Thoughts" podcast, Treliving is all but guaranteed to try and make a trade, notably on the blue line.

"As I always say, I think I've said it 40 times this year, Toronto's looking at every defenseman in the league," he said. "That's what I just keep hearing. If there is a defenseman they like, they're going to try to get him."

According to Leafs Insider Luke Fox, he's listed the following names as potential possibilities:

"Chris Tanev, Noah Hanifin, Jakob Chychrun, Ilya Lyubushkin (the return!), Sean Walker, Adam Boqvist, Nick Seeler, Matt Dumba, Erik Johnson."
