NHL insider makes surprising prediction for Pens’ Matt Murray in 2017-18
This seems crazy! Can this kid really be that good?

Matt Murray has already done great things for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and he might not be over yet.
Matt Larkin of The Hockey News believes that the Pens' goaltender is the main contender to win the Vezina trophy this season and has better chances than Montreal Canadiens' Carey Price at the title of best goaltender in the National Hockey League.
According to Larkin, although Murrray is a risk to pick to steal the goaltending’s top honor, he has proven many times he has the perseverance and talent to do so.
In the last two seasons, where the Penguins were crowned champions, Murray has recorded the following numbers 32-10-4, 2.41 goals-against average, .923 save percentage, as well as four shutouts. He however completed the feat in only 62 games, and some experts might worry that he is too injury-prone for his young age of 23 years old.
Murray's numbers however show that he is showing great progress in little time and will now benefit from Marc-Andre Fleury's departure to show even more what he is capable of.
